Airtel has got stay orders from the court. Airtel, which had been ordered to stop the controversial 3G roaming services within 72 hours, has got a stay order from the court.

We all know that the Department of Telecommunication had ordered Airtel to stop 3G services in 7 circles on 15th March 2013. In these 7 circles Airtel had been offering 3G via ICRA with Vodafone and Idea.  The Department has fined the company with Rs. 350 crore also.

Airtel has got orders enabling it to continue the services now and the Department is no more legally allowed to collect the fine from the company as per court orders.

Airtel has gone to Delhi High Court on 18th March, 2013 to get the stay orders from the Government which it was successful to get. The next hearing is going to be held on 8th May, 2013, until when in the 7 circles Airtel can continue providing 3G services via ICRA.
