Aircel has launched new pocket internet plan at Rs. 24 only for its customers which is designed specifically for first time mobile internet users. Aircel, the best internet services provider company, has been trying to increase the internet adoption in its users.

Pocket Internet 24 (PI-24) is an amazing trial data plan for first time users. It has a validity of 30 days. Pocket Internet 24 (PI-24) will enable the customers to go on a trial basis of internet usage. They can feel the internet experience on their mobile phones which will cost them less than Re. 1 per day.

Aircel prepaid customers in Chennai circles can avail the offer. Customers can use the 100 MB data for popular search engine and social networking websites. Downloads are also enabled for them besides net surfing and social networking.

The plan is available for 2G customers only but Aircel looks forward to bring in 3G customers too. The speed for 3G is up to 3.6 Mbps, and the 2G network will get speed of 64 kbps.

Anupam Vasudev, Chief Marketing Officer, Aircel, said, “India has the third largest internet users in the world and is rapidly adding 70 million mobile internet users a year. It is ironic that despite this exponential growth, a majority of the Indian population has never experienced internet on their mobile phones. These customers have used internet in cyber cafes and desktops but have never experienced internet on their phones due to limited awareness and knowledge of mobile internet. With Pocket Internet 24, we aim to tap this segment and drive internet adoption among first time internet users… Pocket Internet 24 is developed keeping in mind the two key issues of a first time user – time to learn and the fear of overspending on data. The product will offer higher validity at lesser price to ensure ample time for the customers to learn and understand the usage of internet on mobile.”
