Ericsson has taken legal action against Micromax and takes it to the Delhi court. Ericsson claims Rs. 100 crore damage, as a result of Micromax’s inability to parley a license agreement. Both the companies have high repute, Ericsson being one of the largest network equipment maker and MMX a popular Indian brand maker.

GSMA has put forward that reduction in Spectrum is imperative for prosperous business in India. Spectrum reserve prices have to be lowered in the upcoming spectrum auction.

DoT rejects Vodafone’s 2G extension plans in India

DoT India has rejected Vodafone’s request to renew its 2G licenses in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. These licenses are going to expire in November 2104 as they are valid for 20 years only that are on completion. These licenses cover 900MHz and 1800MHz frequencies.
“Vodafone is deeply disappointed with the summary rejection of its request for extension of licenses in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata service areas,” says Vodafone.

DoT rejects Vodafone’s application for service renewals in three service areas

Vodafone Group PLC’s (VOD.LN) Indian unit has disclosed this Friday that Indian Regulator DoT has rejected its permit letter, disallowing it to continue its services in three service areas. Vodafone wants license for the continuation of its services in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. The present licenses are going to expire in November 2014.
