Nokia Asha 206, swappable, dual SIM, at Rs. 3,675 – a glimpse

Nokia Asha has been launched at Rs. 3,675. It is a dual SIM handset with easily swappable SIM slot 2. The SIM can be changed without powering off and on the handset.

It is powered by Series 40 OS. There is 64 MB of storage capacity and micro SD is also supported. Up to 1000 contacts can be saved in the phone memory.

Screen: It has that astonishing 2.4 inches QVGA screen which renders it more elegant. It does not support touch screen system however. There is 320×240 pixels (65K colors) resolution.

Design: It has 12.4 mm alpha-numeric keypad. It is quite moderate in weight, only 91 grams.

Camera: The camera too is of a moderate quality. It is 1.3 MP rear camera which supports video recording. Front camera is not available.

Colors: The handset is available in these colors; Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, White and Black.

 

Nokia Asha 206 is a low priced handset with not many features. 3G is not enabled, no Wi-Fi, you can use only EDGE or GPRS.

Other features include Bluetooth, FM radio, JAVA support, USB 2.0 and social networking i.e. Twitter and Facebook.

It is a good handset for those who don’t want to put much burden on their pockets and who are happy with not a long list of advanced technologies.
