Google expected to launch $50 Nexus Smartphone

Google has been accused much for not yet launching Nexus low cost Smartphone in India.

Google’s Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt said in Delhi that such Smartphone at $50 with web browser and client Apps will be launched soon. He added, “Google has always encouraged phone makers to produce cheaper sets with web-browsing features so that mobile-based internet penetration gets a further fillip,”


Demand of Smartphones in and web usage: As Asia, Africa and Latin America are the countries who have been much interested and been growing much in internet usage, there is a huge demand of such Smartphone’s there. India is the 5th country with the highest number of Smartphone users, and this number will rise even more with 3G and 4G usage.

Android is the most in use operating system in India which is being enabled on even the low cost handsets. Micromax, Lava, Karbonn and others win the credit for the wide range use of Android in India. Windows and Symbian come next. Mozilla, in collaboration with some other mobile operators and handset manufacturers, has launched Firefox OS as a mobile OS. Canonical Linux distro Ubuntu is also in process of making a mobile OS for its Smartphone. In all this situation Google Androids will be able to give a relieve pause to Android.
