Videocon’s ambition- to go ahead with 2G and 4G services

Videocon comes up with an ambition to continue with its 2G and 4G services. It has also decided to let go off 3G services which is not being much profitable for the operator.

Videocon’s permits: The court has denied Videocon the permits in 21 circles. Videocon however won spectrum in 6 circles which enables it to offer services in 7 circles. These circles include Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh East and West.

Videocon engages Nokia Siemens Network for 4G Network Rollout

Mr. Arvind Bali, Director and CEO, Videocon Mobile Services remarked, “We intend to engage Nokia Siemens Networks as our Technology partner for our 4G Network Rollout in the country”.

Videocon planning to invest Rs 4 billion in Kerala

Videocon, India’s leading business corporations, has launched its GSM mobile services in Kerala, will be investing the Rs 4 billion in the state with over 1500 signal towers or BTS in the first phase. Aravind Santhanam, Chief Operating Officer, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, said about the Rs 2 billion to Rs 2.5 billion has already been invested in the state The services have been started with a network of 1500 BTS at the time of launch, which is expected to touch 2500 by the year end.

Videocon Brings FRC 99 and GPRS Services in Tamilnadu

Videocon Mobile Services, the latest competitor in the Tamilnadu Telecom circle today introduced  new First Recharge Coupon (FRC) of Rs99, which will benefit eighteen minutes free local calls to Videocon users and fifteen minutes to other users, per day.
The user cannot utilize the unused free minutes of past days and hence, it would be forfeited. The FRC contains 30 days validity.
Videocon also commenced GPRS/WAP services called as v-live and v-Internet in TamilNadu.
