Reliance Jio and other countries sign the Construction and Maintenance Agreement (C&MA)

Reliance Jio, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) (Malaysia), Vodafone Group (UK), Omantel (Oman), Etisalat (UAE) and Dialog Axiata (Sri Lanka) will form the consortium of the BBG. Reliance Jio owns the BWA spectrum in India and is going to invest in the Bay of Bengal submarine cable system to improve its functioning.
Construction and Maintenance Agreement (C&MA) and the Supply Contract for BBG has been signed on 30th April 2013 in Kuala Lumpur. The following were present at the contract:

Bharti Airtel inks pact with Reliance Jio to provide international data capacity

Bharti Airtel has joined hands with Reliance Jio Infocomm providing Asia Pacific Data Capacity. The two have made an agreement to provide international data capacity using the Bharti’s India-to-Singapore i2i submarine cable. The Indefeasible Right to Use (IRU) Agreement has been signed by the two companies. “The Bharti deal happened because RCOM didn’t have a network in the Asia Pacific region,” said a company source. Reliance revises its tariff plans on CDMA & GSM

Reliance has revised its voice plans on CDMA & GSM. It offers talk time on 3G Data Plans. It was the result of the competition between all the operators on the tariff plans.
Reliance now offers a variety of different plans for CDMA and GSM prepaid customers. Either the tariff has been raised to 1.2 paisa from 1 paisa or the validity period has been shortened.

Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio Infocom, the 4G BWA spectrum winner has been given 10,000 mobile numbers by Department of Telecommunications to run voice over LTE network trial. 83378 number series has been provided to Reliance for the purpose. It will be used across Mumbai, Delhi and Jamnagar with 4000 mobile numbers each in Delhi and Mumbai. In Jamnagar (Gujarat) the number will be 2000.

Reliance Mobile- Revised CDMA prepaid data packs and withdrawal of SMS

Reliance had been offering the cheapest high speed mobile data pack i.e. STV94 to its customers. The users could enjoy 1 GB HSD data per month with a validity of 6 months and bundled with it were the unlimited SMSs too for the same validity period. Reliance communications has revised its 2G data plans, in accordance with the recent tariff hike. Almost all the networks have either lessened the data benefits or reduced the validity of the data packs.

AT&T re-enters Indian Telecom sector by buying stakes in Reliance Jio Infocomm, which is India’s only 4G operator.
