Airtel launches HD voice services in African subcontinent. The subscribers in Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi and Nigeria can now be heard clearly. While speaking at the normal tone volume, their voices can be heard clearly by the call recipient.

Airtel causes most of the complains filed under TRAI on billing and tariff issues. The reports say that up tiil January 2013, TRAI has received 2,419 complains about Airtel. According to Minister of State for Communications and IT Milind Deora., These complains include the one of overcharging the customers as well. Airtel Ghana’s ‘school pocket money service’

Airtel Ghana has taken a step more towards money transfer service. Airtel Money is now providing ‘School Pocket Money Service”. Now the fret of sending money to the dependants or their wards has been lessened.  The service will eliminate the stress from the persons concerned.
Airtel Money has about a million registered customers, out of whom 200,000 make the transactions every day. The service goes to senior secondary schools (SHS). Many schools have joined hands with Airtel Ghana to help promote ‘school pocket money service’.

Airtel Uganda introduces Airtel Zone

Airtel Uganda has launched Airtel Zone for northern and mid-western users of Uganda. They will now enjoy a discount on local calls. Airtel’s on-net calls will have up to 99% discount and off-net calls will have 40% discount.
