Videocon’s ambition- to go ahead with 2G and 4G services

Videocon comes up with an ambition to continue with its 2G and 4G services. It has also decided to let go off 3G services which is not being much profitable for the operator.

Videocon’s permits: The court has denied Videocon the permits in 21 circles. Videocon however won spectrum in 6 circles which enables it to offer services in 7 circles. These circles include Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh East and West.

Reliance Industries Limited is ready to launch the 4G LTE in India with cheaper Smartphone commercially. The expected date of initiation is 15th August 2013, on the Independence Day. It will be there in the whole country by December 2013. The 4G arm of RIL is named as “Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL)”.

Videocon engages Nokia Siemens Network for 4G Network Rollout

Mr. Arvind Bali, Director and CEO, Videocon Mobile Services remarked, “We intend to engage Nokia Siemens Networks as our Technology partner for our 4G Network Rollout in the country”.

Airtel stands out as the sole operator in India who is combining voice with TD-LTE services through its on hand GSM network. Airtel is soon going to launch voice services for 4G, TD-LTE (time division duplex long term evolution) customers in Pune.
