Airtel Uganda introduces Airtel Zone

Airtel Uganda has launched Airtel Zone for northern and mid-western users of Uganda. They will now enjoy a discount on local calls. Airtel’s on-net calls will have up to 99% discount and off-net calls will have 40% discount.

Vodafone and MyCom’s contract of network performance

Vodafone India has selected and signed contract with Mycom for network performance.
Mycom has agreed to provide performance management solution. Vodafone will use this performance management solution providing services to over 150 million subscribers. These services include managing its 2G and 3G mobile RAN,mobile circuit, packet core and value added services.

BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd) has recently taken legal action against ZTE (Chinese telecom vendor) which involves “forfeiting Rs 159.13 crore bank guarantees submitted by ZTE” against the earlier BSNL purchase orders for South and North zones.
