TOKYO, Japan – 26 May, 2010 – The Mobile Devices and Home business of Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) today announced that KDDI, a major mobile operator in Japan, has deployed Motorola’s innovative high-definition (HD) IPTV set-top (model VIP2060), providing enhanced personal media experiences to its Fiber to the Home (FTTH) subscribers. The VIP2060 will be launched in Japan on 2 June as “HD-STB” for KDDI’s “au Hikari” service, which supports 1 Gbps ultra high-speed optical fiber broadband connections.
